I’m back home now after the rough meeting about the hero show at the Underworld’s TV station. It’s after lunch, and I’m alone in my room using Izuna’s communication to contact someone about a certain problem.
It’s been about half a month since we returned from Rias’s family home during summer break. I thought I’d been working hard at various things, but I’m making zero progress. I seriously need to figure out how to deal with this, so I decided to ask for advice.
“So basically, Kuroka’s too damn cute and I can’t focus on my nightly Ittou Shura meditation at all. Can you do something about this, Magari?”
Yeah, I’m talking to Magari right now. When I started high school, I’d reached roughly ultimate-class devil level strength and Kuroka had grown three tails, so our training under Magari came to an end for now. She’s not exactly free either.
Before we went to Kyoto, Kuroka had snuck into my bed once and completely ruined my meditation. But right after that, we had over twenty days apart, so honestly I’d completely forgotten about it.
But ever since coming home, she invades my bed every single night when I go to sleep. She clings to me, makes her ears twitch while rubbing against me like she’s marking territory. And when I activate Ittou Shura, she seems to know I can sense her presence more strongly, so she gets even more clingy. It’s driving me crazy.
If I didn’t pass out like I was unconscious when the effect wore off, I don’t know how many times my rationality would’ve snapped. At least once every night, that’s for sure.
Oh, and during the day and at club activities, Koneko’s been sticking to me more often too.
Issei’s practically surrounded by multiple beautiful girls way more intensely than I am, yet he doesn’t make a move on any of them. At this point, isn’t he basically a god?

Whoa! Harsh words from Magari!
She’s always answered my questions properly until now, but this is the first time she’s brushed me off this coldly.
I mean, I know it’s a stupid question, but I’m really desperate here, Magari!
I apologized to Magari while trying to convey how serious this was, and she let out a deep sigh. Even Izuna, who was handling the communication, looked exasperated.

“Yes, I’ll be careful not to.”
With that, Izuna’s communication cut off.
Alright, my personal problem’s taken care of. Now there’s Diodora.
For some reason, he didn’t use Ophis’s snake during the match against Agares. Either he hadn’t received the snake yet, or he had slightly better self-control than his original counterpart, or he’s just a small fry unrelated to terrorism.
I’ll ignore the third possibility since it doesn’t matter. If the Khaos Brigade’s terrorism happens, how should I move? But I can’t go with them to the Rating Game, and once it starts, the venue should be isolated with Dimension Lost.
Considering that only Odin came as a guard for the Gremory family, I should assume only Odin can teleport to the targeted location. Rossweisse wasn’t there either.
Even if it wasn’t strictly necessary strength-wise, the fact that he came alone probably means that’s just how it works.
So if terrorism breaks out, my only option is to use random teleportation to enter the field after it starts and go directly to help everyone. I’ll be completely on the back foot.
It was the same during the peace talks, but instantly neutralizing tight security is more than just troublesome.
I can’t tell if Azazel and the others can predict that the Khaos Brigade is targeting the game since Diodora hasn’t used the ‘snake.’

“Ugh! Huh? What? My stomach suddenly started acting up. Damn it, ruining my good mood.”
Clutching his stomach and walking somewhat bowlegged toward the toilet, his face was quite pale by the time he reached his destination.

So the problems are getting surrounded by lots of enemies at the start and Asia getting thrown into dimensional space.
If Odin’s rescue is delayed because it’s sudden terrorism, it could be really dangerous. And Asia getting thrown into dimensional space only to be coincidentally picked up by Vali’s group? What are the odds of that?
Maybe I should secretly swap the Izuna I left with Koneko for the real one.
Then if they get surrounded by enemies, the real Izuna’s clones combined with the current Gremory family’s annihilation power should make survival pretty easy. And if something unexpected happens, I can stick one of Izuna’s clones to Asia. Even if she gets thrown into dimensional space, Izuna can keep maintaining barriers, and I can supply the consumed aura through my Izuna.
Hmm. If I knew for sure there’d be terrorism beforehand, I could’ve pulled the same move I used against Riser – have the allied devils wear earplugs and recite blasphemous Bible passages. That would’ve been perfect.
Well, if they ask why I gave the real Izuna to Koneko, that’d be awkward. I need to think up some excuse. It’d be best if the rescue arrives in time.
Several days passed with Issei and the others training for the match against Diodora, and finally the game day arrived.
Apparently Diodora came down with some serious illness that had him on complete bed rest. Instead of going to a proper hospital, he holed up at the Astaroth house, which almost made them cancel the game. I was anxious about it in all kinds of ways when I heard that. Kuroka? She was whistling.
With a little time left before the game started, Kuroka and I, along with Azazel and Irina, had already jumped to the Underworld and were in the V.I.P. observation seats. It was set up like a cocktail party with screens floating in the air, filled with important figures from various factions. Since this was devil territory, there were devil nobles too. I could see someone who looked like Odin with Sirzechs, and since the Norse chief god was here, Serafall was there too, along with a green-haired guy and a bald guy. I’d seen their photos, so that must be Ajuka Beelzebub and Falbium Asmodeus. This was my first time seeing all Four Great Maous together.
Good. At worst, if Odin wasn’t here and the venue got isolated by Dimension Lost so I couldn’t even get in, I’d considered using Ittou Rasetsu to slice through space and leave everything to Kuroka and Izuna.
Kuroka, being the big eater she is, immediately charged at the feast on the tables. I guess it’s a species trait? Koneko eats a lot too.
I felt grateful for how these kinds of occasions naturally got arranged, thanks to things like Azazel’s consideration and my position as Kunou’s fiancé. Pretty mercenary of me, I guess.
While I was thinking about that, someone called out from behind me.
“It’s been a while, hasn’t it, Arima Ikki?”
I turned around to find Ravel Phoenix. Apparently she’d come to watch too.
She was wearing a purple dress with phoenix tail feather decorations around the waist area.
I never expected her to approach me, but we did fight in the Rating Game against Riser, even if not directly. And I’ve been getting some coverage in the Underworld media lately, so she might casually strike up a conversation.
But what should I call her? There are lots of important people here, so just using ‘-san’ would be rude, right?
“It’s been a while. Miss Ravel – have you been well since then?”
Ugh! Saying ‘Miss Ravel’ felt super awkward! It’s like when I used to call Kuroka ‘Kuroka-san.’
While I was cringing internally, she made a suggestion first.
