Chapter 15 What’s Up With You, Sister Vivian
Chapter 15: What’s Up With You, Sister Vivian?
Therese listened to Vivian’s muttering in confusion. She didn’t understand why Vivian would throw water balls at Bai Li.
“Sister Vivian, why do your and Brother Bai Li’s figures look so similar? Why don’t you have…”
Now it was Vivian’s turn to be speechless. It seemed that apart from long hair and lacking certain male parts, her gender characteristics were indeed not obvious…
“Um, no, no, Therese, Sister is just rather, well…” She came over to cover Therese’s mouth.
But underwater, two soft things seemed to be pressing against her chest.
Her face reddened, realizing she indeed didn’t have Therese’s figure.
Therese broke free from Vivian. Wearing a swimsuit, she couldn’t hide the graceful curves of her body. She slowly moved toward Bai Li, deliberately protecting her chest.
“Sister Vivian is so cold, it’s more comfortable by Prince Brother’s side.”
Logically, Vivian had fire attributes, yet Therese chose to stay close to the ice-attributed Bai Li, which was somewhat amusing.
Bai Li was feeling the temperature of the pool water. Soaking here was indeed comfortable; no wonder Vivian said he would beg her to bring him back.
As he closed his eyes, savoring the moment, he felt something wrapping around his foot again.
“What are you doing now? I haven’t provoked you, I’m following what we agreed on earlier…”
“Brother, don’t run away, please? Therese wants a hug.”
Before Bai Li could react, he felt something pressing against him underwater, then a small head emerged behind him, contentedly hugging him.
“Therese, what are you doing? There’s a saying about propriety between men and women…”
She couldn’t be bothered with Bai Li’s words. From the moment she met him, she felt he was clumsy but reliable.
Somehow, she felt particularly drawn to his ice attribute, not as cold and heartless as one might imagine.
Therese clung to him, her body wet all over. He could clearly feel her pressing her bosom against him, her hands crossed around his neck, showing no intention of moving away.
Bai Li blushed. He had rarely been in such close contact with women, especially since Therese was still young and knew nothing…
Vivian: ?
So Bai Li was firmly controlled by Therese, unable to move. With the slightest movement, he could feel her fragrant, soft body in this zero-distance contact.
“…So comfortable…” He vaguely heard Therese’s breathing. To his surprise, she had fallen asleep right on top of him. Her state made it difficult for Bai Li not to feel a hardness below.
“Can you please find a way to make her loosen her grip a little? I’m having trouble breathing.” He looked at Vivian in confusion.
But now Vivian had turned away, not looking at him, just attending to her own business. Bai Li couldn’t call out, afraid of waking Therese.
“Just stand there and don’t move. See how you like it,” she thought to herself. She hadn’t expected the usually shy and introverted Therese to be so clingy with him. She really didn’t know what charisma this poker-faced iceberg had.
“Hmph, I refuse to believe I don’t have even this much charm. Whatever, you’re mine anyway, I can do what I want with you.”
…
They stood like that for quite a while, with Bai Li treading carefully in the pool, afraid of disturbing Therese’s sweet dream.
“…That felt so good. Oh, did I fall asleep?”
Therese quietly let go. Sleeping on Bai Li like this did feel a bit boundary-crossing.
“It’s fine, Therese. If you feel comfortable, that’s what matters. Come over to sister.” Vivian extended her hand, and Therese reluctantly went over. Bai Li, as if pardoned, stretched his sore limbs. But soon the spring water relieved his fatigue.
After a while, Vivian signaled that it was time to leave; they’d been there long enough. She had other plans originally, but how could she accept that she was less attractive than Therese?
As the three of them changed back into their clothes and were about to go to the next place, Wensa barged in at an inopportune moment.
“I’ve told you to knock, Wensa, seriously…”
“I only came to find you because it’s urgent. The skeletons from the Sea of the Dead have somehow crossed over to our side, and clearing them is taking some effort. You know I don’t have time…”
Vivian had a sudden inspiration. “Therese, as you know, Prince Brother isn’t feeling well, and I still need to teach him etiquette and such, so I’ll have to trouble you.”
“What, just clearing those bones again? Fine, fine, since Sister Vivian says so, I’ll go and come back quickly.”
After Wensa left with Therese, Vivian finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Honestly, she regretted calling Therese to look after Bai Li, if not for the fact that she still had to manage Rose Sanctuary’s affairs.
And she never imagined Therese would be so attached to him. It’s too much—the Elinor lineage was nearly exterminated by him.
If Therese knew he was the perpetrator, who knows how disappointed she would be. She was already pitiful enough. Vivian sighed.
She hoped time could change some perspectives, after all, the dead cannot return. She just wondered if Therese would forgive him when the time came. Bai Li was also just a poor soul being used as a pawn.
“So what else are you going to put me through?” Bai Li resumed his icy expression. “It’s not more boring stuff, is it?”
“I won’t take advantage of you. You’re still upset about losing the fortress, aren’t you?”
This rekindled Bai Li’s fighting spirit. Being sold out by his own people already angered him, and now he had fallen to Rose Sanctuary to repay Vivian’s debt.
To convey the retreat order, he activated “Mind Web,” but someone seemed to block his ability. Using this skill had already consumed half his magic power.
He still had many trump cards unused. Without using the Seraph’s power, relying solely on his ice abilities, he was 80% confident he could hold Vivian off, maybe even counterattack and defeat her.
“Just you wait…”
“Oh please, if you want to regain your strength and take revenge, don’t be so resistant to your vampire physique.” Vivian spoke indifferently. “But who do you think you are? Seeing how you enjoyed it, taking advantage of a child like Therese, you have no shame…”
“You’re not blind. You saw Therese approached me on her own.”
Vivian shook her head, refusing to listen to Bai Li’s explanation.
“Considering your current childlike body, once your bloodline fully integrates, you should be able to return to your original form.” Vivian explained, “As for strength, you’ll recover about half.”
Half? With half his power, he could turn this place into a glacier.
“Then tonight let’s play fair. Drink this.”
“Wait, what are you up to now? I advise you not to mess around…”
Not letting Bai Li speak further, she took the medicine from the bottle and poured it into his mouth.
…
“Strange, why does it feel so hot?”
In the mirror, he clearly looked like his former self. It seemed this concoction could restore his power temporarily. But strangely, he felt his magic being sealed by something.
He didn’t notice that behind him, the door to the room had been completely locked.
Vivian lay languidly on the bed, wearing a gossamer-thin nightgown. She watched Bai Li with interest. After all, if she could defeat him on the battlefield, conquering him here shouldn’t be difficult either.
“It’s so hot…”
