Chapter 29: Sunbathing
“Where to next?” Ji Yueling sat in the driver’s seat, looking at Gu Qing in the passenger seat, who was still inappropriately propping his legs up on her car window.
“The sun is really nice today.” Gu Qing squinted slightly, looking directly at the sun overhead and said softly, “Let’s go sit in the park. I want to get some sun.”
Ji Yueling started the engine and said nothing more.
She had many, many questions she wanted to ask, many suppressed curiosities, but she knew that even if she asked Gu Qing these questions, she wouldn’t get answers—they would only drag her deeper into the whirlpool. So her intuition made her choose silence, just driving quietly.
Qiming City had a large People’s Park. Perhaps because it was a weekday, there weren’t many people in the park right now. After getting out of the car, they walked to the grassy area by the lake. The soft lawn was well-maintained and already showed some early spring greenness. Gu Qing sat down, and after Ji Yueling hesitated for a moment, she also sat down on the grass, stretching out her long, snow-white legs.
But as soon as she sat down, Gu Qing had already adjusted his position and naturally rested the back of his head on her snow-white, soft thighs beneath her shorts. Ji Yueling was about to say something, but seeing his face pale as paper and completely bloodless, she ultimately said nothing.
Today’s sunlight was truly abundant, falling on both of them, warm and cozy, making one want to sleep comfortably.
Gu Qing knew she wanted to ask questions, so he didn’t sleep, waiting. After more than ten minutes, Ji Yueling finally asked her first question: “You and that Dr. Lin—you two didn’t have something, did you?”
“Why is the first question about this?” Gu Qing was somewhat helpless for a moment. “We didn’t. I borrowed many, many books from her back then, reading day and night, and she happened to be the only one who could discuss those books with me. So we talked quite a bit. She also gave me some qualifications to talk with psychiatric patients—otherwise, when I was doing that kind of work, she would have put me in a straitjacket and increased my medication long ago.”
“Our relationship was a very friendly academic exchange. Of course, she’s properly educated from an institution, while I just read a lot of books. It’s reasonable for her to look down on my various methods, because my approach only works for me—it’s absolutely correct in my world, but not necessarily for others. The method I used to treat Jian Wei is something I rarely use. Most of the time, I prefer to chat with patients.”
“What exactly is your ability?” Ji Yueling asked again.
“Mimicking demon speech.” Gu Qing answered frankly, then continued, “According to your Alliance’s standard of rating superhumans by energy quantity, I’m definitely E-level. It’s just that my ability gives me a lot of knowledge about demons—I can mimic many demons’ speech. Different demons’ speech has different rule properties, but it’s extremely draining for me. Like today’s usage—if I use it again in the next three months, I estimate I’ll go completely insane from the mental pain.”
Gu Qing coughed a few more times.
“I owe you a favor.”
“It’s fine. Come back with me later to treat the scars on Lu Qianqian’s legs, and this favor will be considered repaid.”
“Such a simple thing counts as repaying a favor?”
“Whether it counts should be decided by me, not you. If you think it doesn’t count, it’s only because you want to be more entangled with me, but I don’t want that. So after this time, don’t come looking for me anymore. When you reach S-level someday, then contact me—I’ll find Old Tao’s location for you.”
Ji Yueling suddenly froze.
She was silent for several seconds before saying softly, “I thought we were friends now.”
“Half friends, I guess? But even friends don’t need to chat all the time or have gatherings. I don’t like chatting with people—I prefer being alone. Having too many friends is troublesome.”
Ji Yueling began to gradually understand Gu Qing’s logic. She didn’t argue, just softly hummed in agreement. After a while, she asked, “Then why did you choose to live at Lu Qianqian’s house? That girl…”
“Because she’s cute.” Gu Qing answered.
“What?”
“Because she’s cute.” Gu Qing repeated, actually puzzled by Ji Yueling’s puzzlement. Ji Yueling looked down at his face. “Isn’t this a double standard? You’re unwilling to have contact with me, unwilling to get entangled with me, but you’re perfectly willing to live at her house and cohabit with a girl whose mind isn’t fully mature?”
“I said it’s temporary housing. I’ll leave when it gets warmer in a few days. If I stay much longer, she’s so cute that I might want to have intimate relations with her, which would be troublesome.”
“Would you develop killing intent toward her like you mentioned before?”
“Well, actually I’ve gotten much better about that in the past two years. I wouldn’t be like before, but I’d still find it troublesome from the bottom of my heart.” Gu Qing’s tone was lazy and somewhat weak.
“Are you done with questions?” Gu Qing asked lazily.
“I’m done.” Ji Yueling answered softly, then Gu Qing opened his eyes and looked seriously at her face before asking, “Good, now it’s my turn to ask.”
“What do you want to ask?”
To learn someone’s secrets, you naturally have to pay a price. Ji Yueling seemed used to Gu Qing’s way of thinking, so she waited quietly. But Gu Qing’s question was: “When was your first time masturbating?”
“Do you always like to be mischievous during seemingly serious moments to make yourself look cool?” Ji Yueling wasn’t embarrassed, just smiled coldly. “Fifteen.”
“What’s your current frequency?”
“Once a day.” Ji Yueling answered coldly.
“Oh…”
Seeing that her face showed no trace of shame, Gu Qing’s face showed disappointment instead. He closed his eyes dejectedly. “I don’t have any more questions. Let me sleep on your lap for a while.”
Ji Yueling reached out to shield the sunlight falling into his eyes. Gu Qing closed his eyes and quickly fell asleep on her lap.
When Gu Qing and Ji Yueling returned home, it was two in the afternoon.
Lu Qianqian was holding her guitar at the time, practicing a new piece. Hearing the sound of the door opening, she quickly put down her guitar and came to the entrance. Gu Qing opened the door and walked in, with Ji Yueling following behind.
Lu Qianqian’s eyes fell on Ji Yueling.
Ji Yueling was quite tall—even wearing sneakers, she was much taller than Lu Qianqian. She had good proportions, a slender waist, and her long, white legs under her shorts were both long and straight.
Gu Qing quickly guided Lu Qianqian to change into shorts in her room. Ji Yueling sat beside Lu Qianqian, her fingertips gently caressing the scars on Lu Qianqian’s legs until she had completely erased all those scars, making the girl’s smooth, fair thighs now flawless. Her transaction with Gu Qing was complete.
“Thank you, Sister Ji.”
“You’re welcome. I owed him.” Ji Yueling stood up. She glanced at Gu Qing, who had already turned on the TV and looked completely unwilling to even see her off. She naturally had no reason to stay, so she just said coldly, “I’m leaving.”
“Oh.” Gu Qing responded perfunctorily without even looking at her. She turned and walked out, then slammed the door heavily.
Lu Qianqian sat beside Gu Qing, hesitated for a moment, then whispered, “Sister Ji seemed really angry…”
“Because I told her not to bother me anymore.”
“Eh?” Lu Qianqian tilted her head, but a hint of smile seemed to appear in her eyes.
She looked down at her now smooth, snow-white thighs under her shorts, reaching out to poke them lightly, sensing that all the scars had completely disappeared. Her eyes still held some wonder, and it took her a while to get used to it before she snuggled up to Gu Qing, pressing her body very close to his, then whispered, “Want to touch?”
Gu Qing reached out and lightly poked her smooth, tender thigh—perfectly soft and bouncy.
Lu Qianqian let out a small cry, like a squeaky toy that screams when squeezed. Finding this amusing, Gu Qing poked again lightly. Lu Qianqian cried out again. Gu Qing poked once more, Lu Qianqian cried out again, but her voice grew softer and more shy each time.
When Gu Qing discovered that poking the soft flesh of her inner thigh made her make even cuter sounds, Lu Qianqian instinctively clamped her legs tightly around his hand, her white, warm thighs trapping his hand completely, not letting him play anymore.
Having lost his entertainment, Gu Qing dejectedly lay down on the sofa until Lu Qianqian came over to poke his leg. Unfortunately, Gu Qing wasn’t ticklish. Soon after, the unsatisfied Lu Qianqian came closer to tickle him, but Gu Qing didn’t even laugh. Then Lu Qianqian leaned close to his ear and gently blew air into it. Only then did Gu Qing feel ticklish, so he turned around, grabbed Lu Qianqian into his arms, and blew air into her ear.
Soon Lu Qianqian was begging for mercy with cute sounds, her cheeks flushed, her eyes bright and intoxicating as if she were drunk.
Her body was soft and comfortable to hold. Thinking this, Gu Qing let her go—otherwise, the desire to keep her would grow stronger and stronger, strong enough to trigger his condition again.
After playing around, Lu Qianqian curled up on the sofa again. Gu Qing glanced at her and asked, “Why aren’t you wearing socks today?”
Usually Lu Qianqian wore cute white socks even at home. Lu Qianqian answered innocently, “Because it’s warm today. The next few days will be warm too—I checked the weather forecast and the sun will be nice.”
“I see.”
The girl’s small blanket covered her body but didn’t hide her delicate, snow-white little feet. Her ten toes were like crystal grapes, seemingly glowing with a crystalline luster.
“Are you trying to tempt me to secretly touch them, developing my strange desires so you can control me in the future?”
“Eh?” Lu Qianqian tilted her head, then pulled the blanket to cover her tender little feet as well, blinking innocently at him. “What are you talking about?”
Gu Qing covered his face. “Never mind. Do you know when people check the weather forecast?”
“When?” Lu Qianqian paused.
“When they want to go out and play.” Gu Qing smiled at her and winked. “So, where do you want to go play tomorrow?”
Lu Qianqian’s pink lips curved upward slightly.
