Chapter 47: Kill Them All
Gu Qing saw that car in the underground garage.
After opening the garage door with the key, the motorcycle sat there quietly, with large patches of black paint and only a few streaks of red like flames, showing the former owner’s stuffy personality.
He got on the bike, ignited it, started the engine. This motorcycle was an alchemical product, its energy source came from crystal cores. The SS-grade demon crystal core currently loaded inside still had enough energy to run for a hundred years.
After the motorcycle reached the surface, Gu Qing began following the booklet he had just flipped through, starting to look for the first person he needed to find.
Seven of Diamonds, one of the mid-level managers of the Plum Blossom Club.
Gu Qing had brought Lu Qianqian to Ji Yueling’s place two days ago.
Lu Qianqian turned out to be stronger than Ji Yueling had imagined. She didn’t become as fragile as glass due to panic, but just sat quietly in the living room, even able to cook noodles for Ji Yueling. At night, the two of them even slept together. Only then could Ji Yueling sense that Lu Qianqian was actually afraid too—her delicate body trembled uncontrollably due to fear.
“Since Gu Qing said everything would be fine in a few days… then just stay at my place peacefully for a few days. It’s okay.” Ji Yueling said softly.
Lu Qianqian curled up in the blankets, nodding obediently.
However, Ji Yueling still couldn’t contact Gu Qing at this moment, but she had noticed two days ago that her little spiders placed in the grass outside the residential area sensed batches of demonic auras, and these auras all felt familiar to her.
When she opened the Fighting Club’s small group chat, she realized these were all members of the Fighting Club, playing chess on the lawn downstairs, barbecuing, even dancing around a bonfire. She didn’t know how they had dealt with the security, as she had already seen quite a few complaints in the residential owners’ group, but no one was paying attention to them.
Standing by the glass window looking down at them, much of the unease in Ji Yueling’s heart was quietly dispelled.
Most of the people downstairs were S-rank. When they gathered together, even if all the current Erasers in Qiming City came, they might be helpless. Although the Plum Blossom Club was also considered an S-rank organization, compared to this group of demons, it was still somewhat outmatched.
She began to wonder curiously about Gu Qing’s true identity. Could it really be just because of personal favors that this group of people would stay here sleeplessly to guard? That favor would be too big—he had clearly said personally that the Fighting Club members didn’t get involved in matters between the demon and transcendent worlds.
The next morning, when Ji Yueling woke up, she received a message from Gu Qing.
“Where are today’s lewd pictures?”
“You haven’t replied to messages for two days, and you still have time to care about this?” Ji Yueling was momentarily speechless.
“I know you definitely have saved stock, hurry up and send them.”
“I don’t have any.”
“I don’t believe it. Bad women always keep their bargaining chips in their own hands.”
“What are you doing now?”
“Looking for people.”
“Looking for whom?”
“People from the Plum Blossom Club.”
“Find them and then what?”
“Of course, kneel down and beg them to let my Lady Qianqian go.”
“Can you not say so much nonsense at a time like this? What exactly are you…”
“Well, a bit busy, let’s chat later.” Gu Qing stopped typing and switched to voice messages.
Gu Qing wasn’t lying to Ji Yueling.
He was indeed a bit busy at the moment.
It was now seven-thirty in the morning, and he was preparing to infiltrate a villa in the suburbs. Unfortunately, his infiltration plan was quite unsuccessful, probably because his motorcycle was really too loud. When he arrived here, the villa’s courtyard was brightly lit.
Several hunting dogs were being held on leashes, the breed of dogs was somewhat strange, like crossbred creatures, extremely ugly and covered with fangs. They had just eaten something unknown, and their eyes were now glowing with a deep green light.
Gu Qing compared the person holding the dog leashes with his memory—this should be Nine of Diamonds from the Plum Blossom Club.
Li Si’s intelligence was very good, even Nine of Diamonds’ abilities were deduced. This gray-haired man in Tang-style clothing was called the Puppeteer.
Seeing Gu Qing get off the bike and remove his helmet, the Puppeteer slowly spoke: “My turn?”
“Yeah, your turn.” Gu Qing casually hung his helmet on the bike and took out an alchemical revolver from his hand.
This gun was crafted from the alchemical metal on that bike after he obtained the legacy power from that drop in the crystal bottle. Each bullet was inscribed with alchemical formulas, and Gu Qing had specifically written an alchemical power called Silencing for it.
The owner of that relic had an ability once named [Truth Matrix].
Compared to the relaxed ease on Gu Qing’s face at this moment, the Puppeteer’s expression was somewhat grave. The four hunting dogs under his command now looked at him with pure madness. As a mid-level manager of the Plum Blossom Club, he also possessed A-rank strength, but was much more formidable than ordinary A-ranks. These four hunting dogs were creatures constructed using alchemy to combine hunting dogs with demon cores, then controlled by his ability.
He used to be one of the assassins of the Plum Blossom Club. After accumulating enough achievements, he retired to the second line and became a manager.
“No room for negotiation?” The Puppeteer raised his head and spoke coldly.
“You’re not qualified to negotiate with me.” Gu Qing shook his head, raised the alchemical revolver in his hand, slightly narrowed his eyes, and took aim.
In that instant, the Puppeteer released the ropes in his hands, and four alchemical hunting dogs pounced toward Gu Qing like madmen. Their speed and strength had reached an extremely terrifying level, not necessarily any slower than bullets.
The Puppeteer seemed prepared. The moment Gu Qing raised his gun, he crushed the necklace around his neck. A transparent film enveloped him. Gu Qing’s bullets were never aimed at those four alchemical hunting dogs—his target was the Puppeteer from the beginning.
Although that layer of film almost perfectly blocked the power of Gu Qing’s six bullets, because Gu Qing aimed at the same spot, the last bullet still exploded at the film’s weakest moment, blowing the Puppeteer’s head into a mass of pulp.
Even his burnt eyeball fragments nearly flew to Gu Qing’s chest.
Gu Qing unhurriedly looked down. The four alchemical hunting dogs, when they reached his feet and sensed his aura, suddenly all prostrated themselves on the ground, wagging their tails like loyal dogs.
The Puppeteer’s body fell with a thud. Gu Qing unhurriedly took out six specially crafted bullets and loaded them one by one. Looking toward the tightly closed door of the villa, he suddenly smiled: “Playing dead can’t fool me. I can see the threads between you and these hunting dogs.”
The villa’s room door crashed down, and a white bone demon in the shape of a white bone skeleton rushed out. From the luster emanating from his bones, this bone demon should be on the verge of becoming S-rank. If he successfully entered S-rank, he might become a high-level member of the Plum Blossom Club, and today he might temporarily escape death.
Because before this, Gu Qing had already killed all the mid-level members, leaving only Nine of Diamonds still alive.
Only after killing all the mid-level members would it be convenient for him to negotiate with the high-level ones.
The bone demon held a bone spike high, like a knight charging at windmills, his white bones like lightning and thunder as he stabbed toward him. The bone spike cut through the air, bringing a piercing cutting sound.
The silver in Gu Qing’s pupils flashed, and in that instant, all of the bone demon’s [weak points] entered his vision.
Actually, his energy wasn’t much at this moment, barely reaching B-rank level, but he had told Ji Yueling long ago that the ability user classification system wasn’t perfect. As long as it was used properly and restraint relationships were found, even E-rank could easily kill A-rank.
The bone demon was a type of demon that had transcended low levels. His bones were like white jade, his spikes like silver spears, with extremely high agility and strength. He wouldn’t suffer from flesh wounds and had no pain sensation—he was already a very special high-level life form.
He didn’t know what method the Puppeteer had used to hide his consciousness in this bone demon’s body. The four hunting dogs at Gu Qing’s feet suddenly pounced toward the bone demon. They didn’t know why they had turned traitor and began biting their former master, but unfortunately, they were quite pathetic against their former master’s jade-like bones.
In less than a few seconds, they all died under the bone demon’s spear.
The bone demon suddenly let out a pale roar.
These hunting dogs were his years of hard work and his most intimate companions. Now that he had killed them with his own hands, he suddenly felt the sadness of being a demon. When demons are sad, they don’t become helpless—they become angry.
Angry enough to want to destroy everything in front of them.
Gu Qing was just unhurriedly retreating. The revolver in his hand had now changed form again, gradually becoming a long staff. The black material was tightly gripped by Gu Qing, and the staff naturally manifested an alchemical formula called [Vibration].
He slightly narrowed his eyes, locked onto the bone demon’s weak point, and at the moment he stabbed again, he gripped the staff handle with both hands, aimed at the bone in his waist and ribs, and struck with all his force.
This strike unleashed all of his current B-rank energy, exploding at the moment of impact. The alchemical formula [Vibration] activated, and the bone demon’s body began to tremble in that instant. Those hard bones began to show web-like cracks that continuously expanded and spread throughout his entire body, until he finally could no longer support his body and completely turned into a pile of bone fragments, falling to the ground.
Among those bone fragments, a gray-white A-rank demon crystal core lay quietly there, until Gu Qing picked it up and popped it into his mouth like eating candy.
He didn’t rush to leave, but sat there quietly waiting for a while, taking the opportunity to pick a rose from the villa’s garden. Looking at the dewdrops on the rose petals, he put the rose away.
After about another half hour, he finally saw several cars arrive in front of him. Four men in black got out of the cars, their eyes now full of cold anger as they looked at him.
They suppressed their anger and slowly spoke: “Q invites you to come with us.”
“Just Q?” Gu Qing looked at them coldly. “I want to see K.”
“You don’t have the qualifications to see K yet.”
Gu Qing thought for a moment, turned his staff back into a revolver and put it away, then came to his motorcycle, sat on it, and said indifferently: “Lead the way.”
The four men in black exchanged glances but didn’t refuse. Gu Qing put on his helmet and silently calculated in his heart.
If Q died, then he should be able to see K, right?
