Chapter 51
Chapter 51: Real Men Should Be Like This!
Idel looked toward the sound and saw that it was Agula’s group returning.
Despite having injuries, Agula’s group was in completely different spirits from the others.
Everyone looked energetic and proud.
“Ah… mm.” Ibert sat up in the cart and stretched: “Did the people from the Tenth Pasture catch up with you?”
“No, how could they catch up with us.” Agula snorted with laughter, flicking his whip as he rode closer: “Why have you all stopped here? Hurry up—the Tenth Pasture people are almost at their destination.”
This time, their Sixth Pasture had been delayed in taking the Aoter route precisely because of Idel’s decision to take in Chaolu’s group.
Now they were stuck with the most distant, remote, and smallest winter pasture.
Their luck had been particularly bad—they’d been attacked by a starving wolf pack at the mountain’s base.
Fortunately, he’d been clever and led the wolf pack right into the Tenth Pasture’s group, minimizing their own losses.
Because of this, everyone was quite excited to see Agula.
If Agula hadn’t handled things so promptly, their pasture would definitely have lost many people and livestock!
Otherwise, just look at the Tenth Pasture—they’d seen plenty of livestock carcasses abandoned along their route…
“It’s Chaolu. He went to negotiate with Qiaoba.”
“Negotiate?” Agula raised an eyebrow, asking in confusion: “Negotiate what?”
Ibert chuckled and yawned: “Negotiate sharing this winter pasture with the Ninth Pasture.”
This was quite strange. Agula’s tone became odd: “Share… what?”
Someone fawned over him, explaining with a smile: “Share this pasture. Since they don’t have a veterinarian or medicine, we thought we could share the pasture and also share the veterinarian and medicine.”
For them, this was a win-win deal!
Hearing this, Agula burst into loud laughter: “Haha! Hahahaha!”
This was really a big joke!
He leaned forward slightly, using his whip to gently pat the man’s face: “Tell me, whose brilliant idea was this? Remember that old horse I killed? Didn’t I tell you? That was from Xie Changqing. Look.”
He extended his leg, where the layered bloodstains at the wound clearly showed what he’d been through: “I almost got dragged off by wolves, and he’s the one who treated this leg. Yet you all think they don’t have a veterinarian? So everything I said, you treated like I was talking nonsense!?”
“…” Everyone silently looked toward Idel.
Agula followed their gaze. Idel’s expression was cold: “Chaolu told me that Xie Changqing is an idiot.”
An idiot could work as a veterinarian? They must think he was the idiot.
“Fine, fine, fine.” Agula turned his horse around directly: “Then you all wait here slowly. We’re going to set up yurts first. Ibert, are you coming?”
Everyone silently looked toward Ibert again.
Ibert got down from the cart, mounted his horse, and whistled: “Everyone follow! Anyone who falls behind gets left!”
With that, he didn’t even say goodbye to Idel and rode off directly with Agula!
Quite a few people followed Ibert, galloping past with their livestock and carts, completely ignoring whether Chaolu’s mission would succeed or not.
The others looked at each other, hesitating for a moment.
Should they leave or not?
Chaolu was still trying to persuade them when he heard Sangtu roar: “I should have come looking for you to beat you up, but you actually dare to deliver yourself to my door! Ah—take my fist!”
He was standing on the hillside, and there was still quite a distance from here to the bottom.
But Sangtu actually untied his belt directly, letting his Mongol robe fall to the ground, then leaped straight down from the hillside, charging at Chaolu’s face!
Chaolu had no time to react at all, instinctively trying to explain: “This is also a great thing for you all… Ah!”
But as he tried to back away, his horse’s hoof stepped into a snow hollow.
The horse swayed slightly but didn’t fall, yet Chaolu had no time to dodge.
Sangtu’s punch landed directly, knocking him right off his horse, then Sangtu straddled him and started beating him.
While hitting him, he shouted: “When the pasture had problems, you led people and ran, right!?” A heavy punch.
“Running was fine, but you also took the livestock to give to another pasture, right!?” Another punch.
“Going to another pasture was fine, but you dare come back!?” A vicious punch!
“And you’re going around saying we don’t have a veterinarian?” This punch drove his head right into the snow.
“Looking down on our Changqing, right!?” This one had to be especially hard!
Chaolu initially tried to fight back, but as soon as he raised his fist, Sangtu punched him so hard he saw stars.
After that, he had no energy to fight back and could only try to dodge, but Sangtu was in his prime—this big guy was no joke.
With all that muscle, how could a young man like Chaolu compare?
Later, Chaolu could only roll left and right in the snow, trying to throw Sangtu off.
Unfortunately, Sangtu sat firmly on his waist, planted solidly.
It was really a vicious beating. Even Qiaoba felt satisfied watching it!
But as the saying goes, you have to consider the owner when beating a dog.
Although they weren’t afraid, if they really beat Chaolu to death here, they’d still have to compensate a few cattle.
Therefore, after Sangtu had vented enough, Qiaoba spoke up: “Alright, Sangtu, come back.”
Only after hearing him did Sangtu stop punching. When he stood up, Chaolu’s face was already swollen like a pig’s head, and he could barely open his eyes.
He managed to open a crack and groaned: “Uncle Qiaoba… isn’t this a win-win… situation…”
“Get lost.” Seeing that Idel had noticed something was wrong and was already riding this way, Qiaoba didn’t even bother to acknowledge him, turning around directly: “Chaolu, if you dare come again next time, it won’t be just one beating.”
Chaolu struggled to sit up, still wanting to salvage the situation.
But seeing his pathetic state, Sangtu simply gave him another kick, sending him hard into the snow hollow: “Get lost! Did you hear me!?”
Sangtu climbed up, and Xie Changqing gave him a hand, also handing him his Mongol robe.
“Hey! Let’s go, let’s go eat beef! We weren’t finished eating yet!” Sangtu fastened his belt while grinning: “Ah, I finally got to beat someone up properly today! How was it, Changqing? Did I fight well just now!?”
These were the rules of the grassland—if someone came asking to be beaten, you beat them.
You couldn’t hold back at all, or you might miss the chance and never get another opportunity!
What if Chaolu died out on the grassland next time? Then you’d have to hold in that anger for life!?
So you definitely had to learn to seize opportunities!
“You fought pretty well.” Xie Changqing felt his blood pumping just watching. He rubbed his hands together: “Uncle Sangtu, could you teach me sometime?”
He also wanted to be strong and sturdy. Oh man, Uncle Sangtu’s chest muscles, those abs—just looking at them made him envious!
Real men should be like this!
“Sure!” Sangtu clapped him on the shoulder, his palm like a fan making Xie Changqing stagger: “Hahaha, sorry about that. I got used to hitting and forgot to control my strength.”
They chatted and laughed all the way back to the yurt to continue eating meat.
Sangtu was still bragging: “…Oh, you didn’t see up close—that kid Chaolu couldn’t even fight back! Hahahaha!”
He’d been holding in his anger for so long, and today he finally felt relieved!
Then he turned to look at Xie Changqing: “You really should practice though, or you’ll definitely lose at wrestling!”
Wrestling!?
