Chapter 27
Chapter 27: Young Lady, Please Don’t Do This
Saint Andrews Academy.
Today Philin felt like he was walking through the academy without pants.
Everyone’s gaze would linger on him for a few seconds, whether it was the cafeteria ladies passing by or the underclassmen who had specifically come to the senior area to catch a glimpse of the story’s male protagonist.
Their eyes contained almost every human emotion—curiosity, jealousy, envy, hatred…
Philin had become a celebrity.
At this rate, Seraphiel would eventually learn that his daughter was involved in rumors with Philin.
Philin hadn’t done anything wrong, nor had he actively gotten entangled with Violet. He was innocent.
But Philin didn’t think Seraphiel would be reasonable when it came to his daughter’s affairs.
Let it all burn down.
The school bell rang, and Philin packed his bag.
He still had to go to Adelina’s place later.
Walking out of the classroom, he saw Sophia leaning against the railing, seemingly waiting for someone.
“Teacher Sophia, what are you doing here?”
“Philin, heading home?”
Sophia patted Philin’s shoulder, and thinking about what she had arranged, she couldn’t help but smile.
Philin looked at Sophia’s malicious, almost perverted smile and felt puzzled.
She’s not going to sexually harass me, is she?
What the hell did this person do?
“Yeah, is there something you need, Teacher Sophia?”
“Nothing, nothing, just checking on you.”
Sophia waved her hand and turned to leave gracefully.
When Violet comes looking for you on her own, don’t thank your teacher too much.
This is all what I should be doing!
Philin was completely confused.
After transferring five times, Philin once again arrived at Adelina’s small villa.
His contract with Adelina was about to expire.
Philin didn’t plan to renew it because he needed to save time to prepare for the royal capital’s entrance exam.
Adelina would surely understand.
“Lady Adelina, are you home?”
The door opened quickly, as if she had been waiting by the entrance.
Adelina stood at the door, her rose-tea colored hair carefully pinned up, making her look even more gentle.
The corners of her eyes shimmered slightly with pearl powder, and her lips were painted with a light gloss.
Despite being at home, she was dressed particularly elegantly.
“Come in.”
Philin noticed that today’s Adelina was somehow different.
Her gaze seemed evasive when looking at him.
She seemed to be in an exceptionally good mood today.
This was the first time Philin had met with Adelina since the banquet ended.
The three-way confrontation on the balcony that happened then—he wondered what Adelina really thought about it.
Before entering, Philin had been worried that Adelina might have discovered something.
But now it seemed she hadn’t developed any strange thoughts.
“I bought your favorite honey cloud cupcakes. Since Lady Adelina looks so beautiful today, I’m thanking you on behalf of the world.”
Adelina’s hand froze mid-air, and her face instantly turned red to the ears.
This idiot, how can he say such things so naturally!
“Today’s lip gloss really suits you.” Philin stared at Adelina’s lips, which looked like honey clouds dusted with sugar, and said seriously, “You’re even more adorable than usual.”
This was Philin’s self-developed general-to-specific compliment method.
First give an overall compliment, then focus on a specific feature.
This way, customers would feel that he wasn’t just casually saying they looked pretty.
And his compliments today were genuinely heartfelt.
Adelina really was adorable today.
Adelina felt her heart racing, her fingers unconsciously touching her lips.
Before Philin arrived today, she had lightly applied makeup.
It was just makeup practice, definitely not for Philin.
Once Adelina sat on the sofa, Philin knelt on one knee on the ground.
“Lady Adelina, I truly know I was wrong.”
The familiar Adelina confession session began.
If he were a believer, God would surely love him.
Just this one matter, and he could talk about it non-repetitively for so many days.
Half an hour later.
The sunset slowly moved from the window to the wall, then disappeared from the wall.
The light in the room gradually dimmed.
Philin rubbed his somewhat numb knee and looked up at Adelina.
Tonight Adelina wore a light purple dress that reached just to her knees, with delicate lace trim around the hem.
Her legs were tightly pressed together with her hands between them, the white stockings on her legs rubbing slightly back and forth, making hormonal sounds.
Her moist eyes stared at the floor, her emotions seeming ready to overflow.
She breathed in small gasps, her exhaled breath seemingly shaped like hearts.
“Lady Adelina?”
Philin couldn’t help but interrupt her, seeing Adelina’s unnatural behavior.
“Ah? Is it over?”
Adelina suddenly snapped back to reality, realizing the service had ended.
She fanned herself with her hand, feeling a slight heat throughout her body.
Adelina didn’t know that her entire neck was stained red.
Seeing Philin rubbing his knee, Adelina finally noticed that half an hour had passed.
Today Adelina felt Philin’s overflowing love.
After the balcony incident, Philin seemed to have completely stopped pretending—tonight’s confession was very direct.
It was almost too much to bear.
He loves me so much.
Adelina cleared her throat, drank some water, and suppressed her emotions.
Philin kept his head down, reviewing today’s confession performance.
In the half hour, he had misspoken five words and had four grammatically incorrect sentences.
It seemed that too many things had happened recently, making him somewhat slack.
After all, with Dai at home, it wasn’t convenient to practice these things.
He’d have to do special training tonight—absolutely no more low-level mistakes like this next time.
Adelina watched Philin’s eyelashes droop dejectedly, as if he were thinking about something sad.
Well, Adelina could completely understand Philin’s feelings now.
Because the status difference between Philin and herself was so vast, he only dared to secretly express his love during this half hour, borrowing the contracted content.
Now that the time was over, he had to painfully endure until the next confession session with her.
He loves me so much!
Seeing Philin like this, a crazy thought surged in Adelina’s heart.
She really wanted to pat his head.
“Philin, come, come here.”
“Hmm? Lady Adelina, what is it?”
Panic flashed in Philin’s eyes.
Could it be that Adelina had noticed his mistakes after all?
Because of his errors, this confession experience was poor, and Adelina wanted to punish him?
Philin obediently closed his eyes and crouched beside Adelina.
He could smell the faint scent of body wash from Adelina.
After all, he had made mistakes, so bring it on!
Adelina took a deep breath, her trembling fingers gently landing in Philin’s hair, as if petting a docile small animal.
His hair was softer than she had imagined.
Adelina’s heart pounded as her fingers continued to gently comb through it.
Watching Philin’s body shiver the moment her hand touched his head, then gradually relax.
Looking at such a shy and obedient Philin, Adelina’s mind frantically repeated one phrase to suppress her emotions.
He loves me so much!
