Chapter 47
Chapter 47: I Remembered Something Happy
Two days had passed since making the wish.
Feilin felt that the water goddess Eris wasn’t very reliable after all.
He was still being tormented by all the young ladies.
Violette still waited for him punctually at the school gate every morning.
And Adelina hadn’t called Feilin to Lanche Academy as expected. Instead, she always came to St. Andrews Academy during service hours.
Bernice appeared from time to time, apparently still unwilling to give up.
Daisy continued to tease him every night with that rational expression, digging into interesting stories between him and his clients with strange questions.
In short, Feilin spent his entire day busy dealing with various beautiful girls.
St. Andrews Academy, Student Council Office.
Feilin stood outside the door, taking several deep breaths.
After confirming his smile in the window reflection was perfect, he patted his face and pushed the door open.
Time to start work.
The fragrance of black tea hit him as soon as he entered. The first thing Feilin saw was that rose-tea colored wavy hair.
Like an elf queen, Adelina was holding documents with a serious expression, handling paperwork in her domain.
Adelina’s gaze moved from the documents and saw Feilin. Like ice in August under the sun, that stern expression quickly transformed into barely concealed joy in her eyes.
“Feilin! You’re here.”
Adelina realized she seemed a bit too happy. She coughed twice to compose herself.
Adelina looked at Feilin, her gaze unconsciously falling on his hands.
Last time, she had shaken hands with him.
She had shaken hands with a man.
Although it was to fulfill Feilin’s wish, she didn’t seem to dislike it.
Linda and the student council members had gone to conduct student survey questionnaires. They were selecting the activities everyone most wanted to hold.
Only Feilin and Adelina were in the office. Feilin strongly suspected this seemingly gentle young lady had deliberately sent them all away.
“Lady Adelina, good afternoon.”
Feilin habitually went to brew tea, only to find it was already prepared.
Not just tea – document organization, cleaning, materials that needed writing – everything had been completed by someone.
Who dared steal my job!
Feilin noticed Adelina rubbing her wrist, which seemed to be aching.
Could it be her? But why? Feilin didn’t understand.
Paying him money while she did all the work, and he came to inspect her work instead.
The world turned upside down!
“Seems like I don’t have much to do.”
Adelina remained silent, just rubbing her wrist.
“Lady Adelina, let me massage your hands and shoulders.”
“Mm!”
Those tightly pressed lips relaxed slightly, revealing a smile of successful scheming.
Those hands rested on the desk waiting for Feilin to take them, not actively placing them on Feilin’s lap – the maiden’s final bit of stubbornness.
Feilin carefully took her hand and placed it on his lap, like handling a museum treasure.
He gently massaged, holding Adelina’s small hand and stretching her wrist.
“Lady Adelina, make a fist.”
Adelina obediently clenched her fist, letting Feilin’s hand wrap around hers.
As Feilin massaged, he suddenly remembered Adelina’s words: “Feilin, yours is so small.”
Although he knew Adelina was talking about his hands, being called small still bothered him.
He stared at his own hands. Are these small?
Staking his masculine pride, Feilin wrapped his hand around Adelina’s fist.
He gripped the soft object in his palm tightly, looking at Adelina with somewhat proud eyes.
Small?!
“Feilin, it hurts…”
“I’m sorry, Adelina!” Feilin quickly released his grip and massaged for her. “I got too absorbed and didn’t notice. I won’t do it again!”
Adelina rubbed her hand herself without blaming Feilin.
“It’s fine, don’t worry about it. I’m just too sensitive to pain.”
Feilin hung his head like a child who had made a mistake.
To actually hurt a client over such boring pride.
A man’s dignity is just supported by money anyway.
Speaking of which, lately he seemed to have many strange emotions during work that never appeared before.
Had he let his guard down from spending too much time with these young ladies?
Seeing Feilin’s repentant appearance, Adelina couldn’t help covering her mouth and giggling.
He was just a little rough with me, not enough to warrant such a serious expression. So cute~
Adelina’s hand moved toward Feilin’s head without her control.
She gently stroked it, feeling the texture of the boy’s hair.
The boy beneath her hand didn’t refuse, instead looking up at Adelina with expectant eyes.
Like a newborn puppy, whimpering while exposing its belly seeking pets.
Oh no, what is this feeling? I can’t stop at all.
Pet pet pet pet pet pet pet.
Adelina was satisfied with her petting.
She didn’t notice she had been petting for a full five minutes.
“Ahem, Feilin, your hair was a bit messy. I was just fixing it for you.”
“I see, thank you, Lady Adelina.”
Adelina watched Feilin believe her random excuse, her eyes curving into crescents.
She thought of four words in her heart.
“Today’s school tasks are done. I have time to help you study.”
Adelina cleared the documents from the desk, making space for Feilin’s textbooks.
Although Feilin found it strange that someone would pay to tutor him, he didn’t say anything. Maybe Adelina wanted to be a teacher in the future and was using him for practice.
Besides, he was already getting the better deal. To say something like “I don’t want tutoring either, but the client is forcing me” would be too disgusting and pretentious.
Feilin gratefully accepted Adelina’s tutoring.
Time passed quickly.
Before he knew it, it was 9:50.
Feilin looked up at the clock. The student council members still hadn’t returned. Adelina couldn’t have sent them to investigate abroad, could she?
“Lady Adelina, it’s getting late. Shall we call it a day? I’ll go make you some tea.”
“Eh.”
Adelina looked up at the clock. Had time passed so quickly?
She stared at Feilin’s retreating figure, her feet swaying reluctantly.
“Do you have any plans this weekend? I’m not asking you to work overtime. I just happen to know a good restaurant, and my voucher is about to expire.”
So many coincidences, Feilin thought sarcastically.
“This weekend? I should be going to the dungeon.”
“Going to the dungeon? Don’t you have enough magic crystals?”
Feilin embarrassedly pulled out a test paper with only 13 points.
This wasn’t really Feilin’s fault. The textbook for “Magical Beast Behavioral Analysis” actually contained very little information.
And he couldn’t understand it at all. Things you’ve never encountered are impossible to fully imagine.
This course was taught by having the school organize trips to dungeons to observe magical beast behavior during years 5-8, with teachers providing on-site instruction. Only by combining textbook study with field observation could one properly understand.
Unfortunately, Feilin had no such memories, and although he had transmigrated into a game world, these magical beasts had never appeared in the game.
This world’s communication magic seals couldn’t record video either. Only going to see them in person would help him understand the textbook.
Considering Feilin’s background, Adelina immediately understood.
During the age when school organized dungeon trips to observe magical beasts, this young master had been too busy playing to attend school.
By the time he finally felt like studying, his family was gone.
“Sorry for embarrassing myself, Lady Adelina.”
Feilin put the test paper back in his bag.
“Should I accompany you to the dungeon?”
“No need, Lady Adelina. I can go to the dungeon entrance and find a team to join, then observe magical beast behavior while mixed in with the group.”
Suddenly, a scene flashed through Adelina’s mind:
Weak Feilin joining a hastily formed garbage team, walking into the dungeon only to constantly trigger traps and encounter powerful magical beasts.
Then he would shout “Adelina, I want to love you again in the next life!” while being devoured by a magical beast.
No way!
Adelina’s eyes flashed with the determination befitting the eldest daughter of the Claude family.
While Feilin was making tea for her, Adelina took out her communication seal.
Soon, almost all of the Claude family guards received a message.
“Lady Adelina, what’s making you so happy?”
Feilin returned with the tea, seeing Adelina looking at her seal with a smile.
“I remembered something happy.”
