Chapter 51
Chapter 51: Awakening
“Isn’t there a mirror right there?” Feilin spotted a floor-length mirror clearly visible behind Vielotti.
“Oh, I didn’t notice it just now.”
Vielotti blinked, covering her chest with both hands, looking quite embarrassed.
Would you have come in if I hadn’t said that?
Though it was a swimsuit, it didn’t reveal much—everything that should be covered was properly covered.
This was exactly why Vielotti was willing to wear it. Those bold styles were something she could never dare to wear in front of Feilin.
“Does it look good?”
“It looks good, very suitable for you.”
The atmosphere grew somewhat awkward. Feilin could hear the girl’s heartbeat.
What should I say now?
The girl before him was clearly trying to maintain a cool, expressionless demeanor, yet her cheeks, ears, and neck had all turned pink from embarrassment—the contrast was overwhelmingly cute.
Especially how she used her right hand to cover her chest despite not exposing anything, combined with the way she bit her lip and looked up at him with those moist amber eyes.
Though Vielotti’s proportions weren’t as dramatic as Edelina’s, they were fuller than Day’s—just the right shape.
“Well, I’ll head out first. That outfit looks great on you—you look like a princess.”
Feilin fled in panic from the small space filled with the scent of hormones.
He breathed in the fresh air outside, trying to calm himself.
“Your girlfriend just selected some of our store’s best-selling items, sir.”
The shop assistant appeared beside Feilin at just the right moment.
“Really? I have to say, I think they suit her very well too.” Feilin didn’t deny it, instantly slipping into the role of a shy young man.
If a girl brought a male friend who wasn’t her boyfriend to shop for lingerie, who knows what these gossip-loving, talkative shop assistants would think of Vielotti.
“You both look so lovely together. Have you just started dating recently?” The shop assistant could tell from Vielotti’s shy expression earlier.
“Yes, we’ve only been dating for a short while.”
The assistant watched Feilin hurry off to another area looking somewhat embarrassed, and couldn’t help but smile knowingly.
Love really is beautiful.
The assistant picked up several of the store’s more daring styles and approached the fitting room.
If that customer discovered his cute girlfriend wearing these pieces of lingerie, it would surely be a pleasant surprise for him, right?
And most importantly, these were the store’s most expensive items—that customer might get so excited he’d buy them all.
Commission secured!
“Excuse me, you could also try these styles. Your boyfriend might like them.”
In the fitting room, Vielotti held up the lingerie the assistant had given her.
This was real lingerie, not swimwear or anything like that.
Lace, cutouts, shimmer.
Vielotti’s face reddened.
She had heard Feilin’s conversation in the fitting room.
For the sake of her reputation, Feilin had thoughtfully claimed they were lovers.
“Lovers…” Vielotti whispered the word softly, her heartbeat quickening involuntarily.
The assistant had probably misunderstood and taken it upon herself to bring these bold styles.
Should I try it on?
Vielotti looked at herself in the mirror, her cheeks slightly warm.
I should probably skip it.
She removed the swimsuit, but her gaze fell on that piece of lingerie again.
Would Feilin like me in this?
The thought made Vielotti want to bury herself in embarrassment. But…
Maybe I could just try it on by myself quietly. I’m already here anyway.
Feilin had made two rounds of the store, like a donkey pulling a millstone.
He was chained to this store by Vielotti.
It seemed he truly wasn’t cut out to be a playboy—he couldn’t even get past the psychological hurdle.
If Day discovered he was shopping for lingerie with another girl during his service hours, he’d definitely be killed.
But often, the more you worry about something, the more likely it is to happen.
Feilin spotted Day’s figure at the entrance—she was walking out of the neighboring store!
She looked around but didn’t see Feilin anywhere.
This is bad. From Day’s expression, it looked like she was heading this way.
“Vielotti, are you dressed?”
Feilin approached the fitting room, watching Day’s figure draw closer outside.
“Huh? I… I’m dressed.”
Feilin assumed Vielotti was trying on a one-piece swimsuit or something similar.
Good, she’s dressed.
The store’s front door was pulled open by the shop assistant.
“Welcome!”
At the same time, Feilin lifted the curtain and ducked inside.
“Sorry Vielotti, I just wanted to see your swim—”
Feilin froze.
In the cramped space, even the air seemed to turn intimate.
Vielotti was covering her chest, her amber eyes not yet understanding what had happened.
She was properly wearing her skirt on the bottom half, but on top she wore the lace lingerie the assistant had brought.
Her smooth, white back was displayed openly before Feilin, throwing him into chaos.
If not for the strap across her back, Feilin might have thought Vielotti wasn’t wearing anything at all.
In those few breaths, Vielotti turned red from her ear tips to her heels, as if she’d been steamed.
She faced away from Feilin, tightly hugging her chest.
Though most was hidden from view, Feilin still caught sight of a corner of lace trim and a glimpse of Vielotti’s snow-white skin.
That patch of pale skin stood out even more strikingly against the black lace.
“Feilin, pervert!”
“Hey, we didn’t pick this kind of clothing! The shop assistant brought it!”
I’m filing a complaint! Who told you to make decisions on your own!
But Feilin couldn’t leave right now.
Day might be outside.
So the question was: what could he say right now that would make Vielotti not think he was a pervert, while also letting him stay here?
Feilin couldn’t think of anything. He figured unless he told Vielotti right now that he’d been castrated, there was no way to meet those conditions.
“Feilin, why aren’t you leaving?”
Vielotti’s voice carried a hint of tears. She weakly turned back to look at Feilin, who seemed to have given up thinking and remained frozen in place.
Between career advancement and morality, Feilin chose career advancement.
Between his client and Vielotti, Feilin chose his client.
“It’s just that seeing Vielotti dressed like this made me unable to move.”
Hearing this, Vielotti let out a small cry, her body becoming completely rigid, not daring to turn around and look at Feilin.
“I know this is sudden, but could you stay in this position? After seeing you just now, I feel a bit dizzy and want to sit here for a moment before going out.”
Seeing me made him dizzy?
Vielotti looked down at her chest, opened her mouth wanting to say something but found herself completely speechless.
The girl’s heart was a jumble of shock, embarrassment, distress, and a trace of… joy.
The fitting room now contained a girl crouched on the ground with her arms crossed over her chest, and a young man collapsed on the ground with his eyes tightly shut.
“Take care, please come again.”
Feilin’s eyes snapped open and he jumped up from the ground.
“Sorry Vielotti, I suddenly feel better now. I’ll go out first.”
Feilin went outside and discovered the person who had just left wasn’t Day after all.
Just a false alarm.
Feilin let out a long breath and sat in a chair in the store waiting for Vielotti to come out.
He gazed at the crowd outside and suddenly thought of several questions.
What if that person really had been Day?
What if Day really had come in and found me together with Vielotti?
What if this kind of situation happens again and other clients discover it?
Three minutes later, Vielotti emerged from the fitting room, the blush still not faded from her face.
“Vielotti, I’m truly sorry about just now.”
Vielotti placed her hand on her chest and shook her head, her hair swaying gently with the movement.
She lifted her wrist to check her watch and found it was already 8:30.
If she didn’t return soon, her father would probably scold her again.
And just changing into that lingerie had exhausted all of Vielotti’s courage and energy—she no longer had the stamina to continue shopping.
It’s fine. There will be other opportunities to spend time with Feilin in the future.
Vielotti comforted herself, but couldn’t help hugging the stuffed caterpillar in her arms a little tighter.
“Feilin, I’m heading back now.”
Vielotti’s voice still carried a trace of shyness. Her skirt swayed gently as she turned.
When she looked back at Feilin for that instant, her amber eyes seemed to hold a thousand words, but they ultimately transformed into a shy smile.
This young lady who usually maintained such a cool demeanor actually broke into a small run, her pink hair floating gently in the night breeze before quickly disappearing into the bustling crowd.
The night wind was somewhat cool.
Feilin smiled and waved goodbye to Vielotti. After she disappeared into the distance, the smile gradually faded from his face.
He looked at his reflection in the storefront window, watching his image blur beneath the cherry blossom trees.
Feilin’s mind was somewhat chaotic now.
A cool breeze passed by, making Feilin shiver.
“Just what have you been doing lately?” Feilin looked at his reflection, talking to himself.
The version of himself in the glass seemed somewhat foreign, as blurred and unclear as his current confused thoughts.
