Chapter 60
Chapter 60: Someone’s Home, Don’t Come!
“Is your size really this big?”
“Yeah, it’s a bit bigger than others’.”
“The shape is kind of strange too.”
“Mm, it’s more comfortable when it bends like this.”
“It doesn’t vibrate too, does it?”
“No, I didn’t pay for that feature.”
Feilin spread the mattress on his bedroom floor and lay down on it.
Of course he couldn’t sleep with Dai—that wasn’t in the contract.
This mattress had an ergonomic design and wasn’t just flat. He’d spent good money on this.
Dai lay on Feilin’s bed. The sheets were freshly changed, so there was no perverted light novel scenario of Dai clutching his blankets and sniffing them frantically.
Besides, she would never do such a thing.
His clients shouldn’t have such perverted tendencies, right?
This young lady was acting strangely for some reason, insisting they try sleeping in the same room first, saying it would help her better accept what she had to do next.
What was she going to do?
Feilin drew the curtains and turned off the lights.
He didn’t want to think about these weird questions. If he had to analyze what every client was really thinking, Feilin would have gone insane by now.
The curtains plunged the entire room into darkness.
In such a setting, it would be quite difficult for anything to happen, since no one could see anyone else.
“Miss Dai, shouldn’t we chat about something?”
Feilin forced his eyes to stay open for ten minutes. Although it was still early, if Dai didn’t say something soon, he would fall asleep.
He didn’t know that Dai was lying in bed with her eyes wide open, staring at the ceiling.
Even though they weren’t in the same bed, she was still sleeping in the same room as a man.
She gripped the blanket tightly with both hands, her body becoming very stiff.
If Feilin suddenly went berserk with lust and tried to do something, she really had no way to resist.
Even if the Truth God Cult sent people to turn Feilin to ash afterward, that would be after the fact.
Dai regretted her decision.
When she’d made the choice, she thought it was just a simple matter.
Just sleeping together, right?
But now it seemed completely impossible.
“Did you see a client again today?”
“Not today.”
“No client gave you anything?”
“Sorry Miss Dai, that’s client confidentiality.”
With the lights off, Dai couldn’t discover anything from Feilin’s expression either.
She planned to chat a bit more to build up her psychological preparation, then she could kiss Feilin.
“Have you ever fallen for a client?”
“Yes.”
Dai turned her head to look at that blurry figure in the darkness.
“I fell for Miss Dai. It was the first time I’d seen such a perfect person—just like a deity.”
“You know that’s not what I mean.”
“Unfortunately, that’s exactly what I think.”
“Even if I wear a maid outfit, you still won’t tell me?”
Feilin’s voice in the darkness fell silent for five seconds.
“My answer is still you, Miss Dai.”
The five seconds of silence was out of respect for maids.
Dai buried her head in the blanket.
She couldn’t quite figure out Feilin.
“Ding dong~~”
The somewhat piercing doorbell from downstairs startled Dai.
“Someone’s actually here at this hour.” Feilin struggled to get up from the floor.
“Maybe it’s one of your clients tracking you down.”
“That would be terrible.”
Feilin said offhandedly, not taking it seriously.
Besides Dai, who else could know his address?
“If it’s your client, I’ll eavesdrop from upstairs and won’t come down. How’s that? Am I the perfect girlfriend in any man’s heart?”
“No, some men would want you to come downstairs so they could watch you and that person fight over them jealously.”
Feilin quietly closed the door, watching through the shrinking gap as Dai still gripped the sheets tightly.
He quickly went downstairs to the front door.
The remaining sunset still reluctantly clung to today’s world, window shadows slanting across the floor.
Who could be looking for him at this hour?
The door handle turned.
He saw two familiar figures.
“Violette? And Teacher Sofia?! Why are you here?”
Feilin tried to stop them at the door, but Sofia slipped inside the moment it opened.
“Sorry for intruding!”
Then don’t barge into people’s houses!
Violette stood at the door, hesitating whether to enter.
But thinking of Adelina, her legs couldn’t help walking inside.
Feilin scratched his head. He was screwed.
“Teacher Sofia, you’re here about that study group, right?” Feilin shouted at the top of his lungs.
“Keep your voice down, I’m not deaf!” Sofia jumped, thinking Feilin had gone crazy with excitement seeing Violette.
Feilin glanced at the stairs. The person upstairs should have heard that, right?
“It’s my first time having a teacher visit. I’m a bit nervous.” Feilin laughed foolishly a couple times and went to make tea for them.
Violette and Sofia sat at the dining table, the last rays of sunset falling on the wooden surface.
Violette’s white dress looked especially gentle in the sunset. She nervously placed her hands on her knees, not daring to look up.
Water in the kettle gradually came to a boil, and the tea’s fragrance filled the kitchen.
“I’m the one who came without notice. If you’re going to blame anyone, blame me.” Sofia took off her glasses, which had fogged up from the red tea Feilin handed her, and wiped them.
“How could I? Teacher Sofia is only doing this so I can get that school subsidy. You don’t have any bad intentions, right?”
Sofia’s mouth twitched. She felt like this kid was implying something.
“Violette heard about your situation and volunteered to help you. She has no other motives—she just wants you to pass this exam. Look what a good girl she is.”
Feilin said nothing, just kept drinking his tea.
He felt this couldn’t continue.
Violette still didn’t dare raise her head.
She had specially changed into a white dress with lace trim for going out today, paired with white stockings and small leather shoes, looking absolutely adorable.
Sofia pretentiously took out her communication seal.
“Hello? What, my ex-husband died? Good, good, good. I’ll be right back.”
Sofia hastily stood up, smiling at the two figures bathed in sunset.
“I’ll be back soon, probably in five or six hours. While I’m gone, you two better not do anything strange.”
Sofia quickly walked outside and let out a long breath.
Now she just had to wait for the wedding celebration.
Would Seraphiel give her a hardship bonus?
Sofia planned to wander around the neighborhood and come back around midnight to pick up Violette.
Meanwhile, several blocks away, both Adelina and Seraphiel were also heading toward Feilin’s place.
Violette sat alone on the sofa, her body trembling slightly.
This place was full of Feilin’s traces. He welcomed each sunrise and sunset here, spent every night that belonged to him here.
He would rest on this sofa, eat at that table, stand on the balcony lost in thought watching the scenery.
Violette imagined Feilin’s ordinary daily life here, making her heart race uncontrollably.
If only she could become part of this daily routine too.
Violette had planned many things, but now that she was actually here, she didn’t know what to do.
She stole a glance at Feilin. His expression was somewhat serious, as if he were thinking about something.
Should she try saying something first?
But Violette couldn’t open her mouth at all. She could only hug the sofa cushion tightly, not daring to move.
The air still carried the fragrance of red tea, but with an indescribable oppressiveness.
Feilin came from the dining room to the living room, sitting beside Violette. His gaze looked at her without any evasion.
Violette didn’t dare look into Feilin’s eyes, but she could feel his stare.
This wouldn’t work. She had already decided to get closer to Feilin, to make him care more about her.
Violette took several deep breaths. The girl mustered all her courage and finally spoke:
“Feilin…”
However, before she could finish, Feilin’s voice interrupted her.
It was an unfamiliar tone Violette had never heard before.
“Violette, I’m sorry, but my house really isn’t convenient for tutoring. Could you please leave?”
Violette felt her heart being cruelly squeezed.
