Chapter 47 – Who Is She Looking For?
It was precisely when that silver flash descended that the atmosphere exploded.
Tilisa almost instinctively covered her ears, and sure enough, the next moment sound waves erupted as adoring voices filled the circular arena.
Following the audience’s gazes, Tilisa looked toward the silver-haired elf who appeared in the audience seating at the contestant entrance.
Today’s Astrid was as breathtakingly beautiful as ever, like a moonstone gem set in a crown, outshining all others. It seemed that as long as she was present, any graceful beauty would pale in comparison.
Security personnel from the academy stood on both sides of the contestant entrance to prevent overzealous fans from taking extreme actions.
This gave Tilisa a strange sense of déjà vu.
Though she couldn’t make this comparison, it really felt like her previous life when celebrities appeared and irrational fans screamed and shouted, some even fainting from excitement.
Well, she couldn’t say it was similar – it was exactly the same.
However, the nature was still somewhat different. The biggest difference was that Astrid wasn’t a talentless flower vase. To earn the mindless adoration of these proud young Divine Maidens, strength was absolutely an indispensable element.
Coleman Academy was a place of hidden dragons and crouching tigers, gathering the heirs of almost all renowned Divine Maiden families. Every generation produced several exceptional talents, and clearly, Astrid had already secured a spot on this generation’s list of exceptional talents.
Setting aside everything else, just being the princess of the Elf Forest meant Astrid couldn’t possibly keep a low profile at the academy.
Watching that elf maiden appear at the entrance with her slow, elegant stride entering the arena, her expression calm, completely ignoring the surrounding shouts and cheers, entirely unaffected by them.
In the eyes of these fanatical fans, Astrid was a flawless deity, but they didn’t realize that having such thoughts proved they were treating Astrid as a symbol.
Tilisa knew that Astrid, bathed in such praise, wouldn’t feel happy. Instead, this praise put enormous pressure on her, and she wasn’t someone who enjoyed noise.
Astrid spoke little and rarely opened her mouth, but she did have moments when she wanted to express her wishes.
For example, once when walking down the street with Astrid, Dilin noticed a small accessory that would suit Astrid well and suggested buying it for her. Astrid hesitated briefly and politely declined. Dilin didn’t think much of it and turned to leave, when he suddenly felt his sleeve being gently tugged.
Looking back, he saw Astrid lightly pinching his sleeve, lowering her blushing face without saying a word.
Of course, that was before Astrid’s Divine Maiden transformation. Dilin wasn’t from a wealthy family either – the accessory he bought for Astrid was just a cheap handkerchief embroidered with a little raccoon.
Astrid used that handkerchief frequently. After they were forced to separate, Tilisa accidentally found that handkerchief in a trash bin…
It was during that period that Tilisa’s smoking addiction became increasingly severe.
But now, all of that was in the past.
Tilisa had come to terms with it. She now only hoped they could at least remain friends, that when they met in public places in the future, they could sincerely smile from the heart and nod in acknowledgment.
Though judging from that library incident, it seemed unlikely.
Astrid unconsciously raised her head and scanned the audience seating. This action made the audience’s voices even more passionate.
She’s looking at me, she deliberately looked up at me, she has me in her heart! Well, at least she has us!
However, they didn’t know that Astrid’s upward glance wasn’t to respond to her fans’ calls, but unconsciously wanting to search for a certain figure. After a quick look without finding anyone, she withdrew her gaze, a barely noticeable disappointment flashing in her eyes.
Just as Astrid was about to enter the arena, Tilisa also spotted another familiar figure – the White Glass Princess Felicia, who had just appeared that morning.
This amber-haired White Glass Princess wasn’t dressed as casually as she had been in the morning. She wore very formal female armor, came before Astrid, said something, then knelt on one knee and performed a knight’s salute.
Like a knight publicly declaring her love, seeking her beloved’s favor, proving her unwavering loyalty.
And Astrid’s lips curved into a faint smile as she nodded slightly, seemingly in agreement.
This made the atmosphere even more explosive.
“Oh oh! Did the White Glass Princess just confess publicly?!”
“So bold!”
“Look, Princess Astrid smiled and nodded – did she agree?!”
Some in the audience were heartbroken, saying it was such a waste of resources, while others were already shouting “get together!”
Tilisa was also shocked by this.
Strictly speaking, she had indeed been attracted to Astrid. Despite having the advantage of being close to her, she had come up empty-handed.
Now she finally knew where she had gone wrong.
This academy was really blooming with lilies…
She hadn’t done anything wrong except for one thing – her gender.
Though thinking about it more carefully, what Felicia said might have just been some encouraging words. Astrid wasn’t that kind of casual person, and Felicia, being a princess of a nation, couldn’t have acted so thoughtlessly. It was just that the audience loved to make a fuss, and some hopeless romantics were over-interpreting things, creating this situation.
Before she could think more, Astrid had already walked past Felicia onto the arena.
Was it finally about to begin?
Standing at one end of the arena, this “Silver Moon of Aureniman” released her domain.
It was a set of cool silver gauze that, combined with the elf maiden’s moon-like silver hair, looked as if she were bathed in moonlight.
The backless sleeveless silk top couldn’t contain the white surge that seemed ready to overflow, the flowing silver moon veil swaying and dancing with the maiden’s every movement. She wore a crown bathed in moonlight on her head, with a shallow skirt below that faintly revealed flesh-colored stockings underneath, and a pair of silver open-toe high heels.
Silver hair with black stockings.
Tilisa was all too familiar with Astrid’s Divine Maiden Domain and had heard about its specific functions from Astrid herself.
Tilisa cast Divine Analysis on Astrid.
Simply put, the blood of the Moon Elf royal family possessed a unique advantage – they were “Divine Maiden killers.”
As everyone knew, divine authority resistance was generally the lowest among the four resistances. When it came to divine authority, resistance could never be too high, as if it were a rule set by the Creator.
This was also why the Divine Maiden profession was so popular.
However, Moon Elves were an exception. Their divine authority resistance was the highest among all Divine Maiden families, meaning that in Divine Maiden battles, Moon Elves would have a huge advantage.
Tilisa activated Divine Analysis to examine Astrid’s domain.
[Silver Moon Protection] (LV19):

Magic Resistance: 6 stars
Alchemy Resistance: 5 stars
